supplies and Fees
Supplies
Rundle purchases all school supplies and invoices the parents in September. This ensures that each child has the correct materials and that the materials are aligned for each grade. Rather than collecting fees numerous times throughout the school year for each event/activity, parents are able to make this one-time payment at the beginning of the year.
Fees
School fees will be posted to your child's PowerSchool account in September.
Grades 4–6 school fees are as follows:
Parent Advisory Council (PAC) Fee: $50.00
The Collett PAC needs your support. This money equips the PAC to sponsor events throughout the year.
School Supplies: $175.00
Includes all school supplies including textbooks, workbooks, pencil cases, felts, erasers, yearbooks, art, music supplies, etc.
Field Trip Fund: $200.00
This fund covers expenses projected for our day trips throughout the year. Overnight field trips and optional Outdoor Education trips will have additional costs that will be communicated to parents as the trip draws closer.
The total school fee for each student in grades 4–6 is $450.00.
Payment Process
Our accounts manager has provided the following details regarding the payment process once the invoices are set up in September:
On a laptop or computer (not a cell phone) login to your PowerSchool account rundle.powerschool.com
Select the student's name (for families that have more than one child attending Rundle, you will need to select each student individually)
Select Student Fees/Forms and the current year's school fees will appear.
Click on the cart to add the fees
Fill in your credit card information for payment
*For returning parents, you may have a credit from a previous school year and this amount will automatically be applied towards your fees.
If you need further assistance please call the office at 403-282-8411.

What day do we return to school?
College Elementary students will return to school on Thursday, August 29. We will start at 8:20 am (drop off anytime after 8:05 am) and end at 11:45 am on this day. This will allow families who are bringing a Primary student to school to pick up their Elementary aged child at the same time.
What are the drop-off and pick-up times?
Morning supervision will begin each day at 8:05 am.
Monday – Friday Start | 8:25 am
Monday – Thursday End | 3:05 pm
Friday End | 12:50 pm
When will I find out about my child's homeroom teacher?
Your child's teacher will be calling all their students/parents on August 24 or 28.
What do I do if my child has a nut allergy, asthma, or a health concern?
Please advise your classroom teacher of any health concerns when they call. As well, please ensure you inform the school of any changes in health concerns throughout the school year.
How will I know where to drop off and pick up my child on the first day?
Details about the drop-off and pick-up routines will be shared in August.
On the first day, can I park my car and walk my child into his or her classroom?
We ask all our parents to use the "kiss and child exits the car" approach to drop off in our parking lot. This will best prepare your child for routines and independence while ensuring a safe and fluent traffic flow. Parents are being asked to stay in their vehicles unless it is necessary to support your child.
Does my child need to bring any school supplies?
No, all school supplies are ordered and provided by the school. Each child should come with their own set of headphones. Our preference is that students use over-the-ear, non-wireless headphones.
What fees are there and how do I pay?
All fees are paid online. Details about the fees as well as how and when to pay the fees are outlined above in a separate drop-down.
What does my child bring on the first day of school?
first day of school is a non-uniform day
backpack
indoor uniform shoes (that do not mark the floor)
gym shoes ( that do not mark the floor)
snacks, lunch, and water bottle

Police Information Check (PIC) Process for Volunteers
All parents who would like to volunteer to work with or around students in the Collett school building are required to submit a Police Information Check (criminal record check and vulnerable sector search) completed by the Calgary Police Service to the school. As this process can often take several weeks, it’s best to initiate the steps well before the anticipated volunteering date.
Police checks other than those conducted by the Calgary Police Service are not acceptable. If you have an existing police check from another authority or province, you may present that to the Calgary Police Service for review.
You may go online to request a criminal record check and please ensure that you choose the application with the Vulnerable Sector search. There is a fee associated with this search and the school can provide you with a personalized letter to reduce the fee. To request a letter, please email jraptis@rundle.ab.ca.
Alternatively, you could visit your local Calgary Police Station and then share a copy of the criminal record check and vulnerable sector search results to the front office at the Collett school.
Once the search results have been received, your name will be added to the school’s list of approved volunteers.
Police Information Checks are valid with Rundle for three years from the date they were issued.
If you have any questions about this process, please contact Josepha Raptis at jraptis@rundle.ab.ca.
